When it gets this hot, getting children to slow down and stay cool can sometimes be a bit tricky! But today's plan worked a treat. This morning the children worked together with Mr Ledger and Mrs Brain to set up our own mini-spa in the outdoor area, under a cool sail to keep us safe from the sun.
The children scented the water with Mint leaves and orange slices in one footbath and made bubbles with washing up liquid in the other. We then invited teachers from other classes to come and have 10 minutes of relaxation in our spa while the children gave them shoulder rubs and served them with cucumbers for their eyes.
We had such good fun that we plan on re-opening our spa tomorrow. With the addition of making our own facemasks and fruit juices. As we have now served the teachers the children were hoping for more customers! So any parents or members of the Willaston Community who would like to come for a "treatment" are welcome to visit our classroom from 9:00 to 11:30am on Tuesday 19th July.
